I am a Viet Nam Era veteran, US Naval Officer, and a self-taught artist.

I worked for the Martin/F. Weber Co., Philadelphia, Pa, where I traveled and taught beginner oil and acrylic workshop classes all over the US, Eastern Canada, and parts of the UK. I have published 2 books and numerous “how to” videos. I am a past member of the Decorative Painters Society of the US and have taught at their conventions and Trade Show Venues.

As I got older, the fumes from the various artistic chemicals became a health issue and in 2006 I gave up my traditional painting career and joined the corporate workforce. In 2016 I retired began to dabble in several artistic releases until I found the wonderful world of digital art, now I can continue the passion that I love without the risk to my health.

Recently my husband and I moved to the beautiful San Juan Islands where nature slaps you in the face daily with the most awesome painterly things. I continue to pursue landscapes and florals, but I am branching out into characters, portraiture and animals.

Currently I work with an iPad and Procreate or Clip Studio Paint. On the desktop PC & Mac, I work with more robust software Rebelle 7 Pro, Painter 2023 and Photoshop. I use an XP Pen Artist 24 Drawing Display.
